Additional Information:

The general hours of operation at the College Avenue Lab* are Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am to 9:00 pm and Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Weekend hours will be posted on our website. *(College Ave. Lab / Language Institute Bldg., Rm. 119)

The general hours of operation at the Douglass Lab* are Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am to 4:30 pm and Friday, 9:00 am to12:00 pm. *(Ruth Adams Building, Room 102)

Bring your RUID card to sign in and to borrow materials at any Lab. Signing in and out at the College Avenue and Douglass Labs is computerized using your RUID, and so is printing, which follows procedures similar to those at the general access computing labs. If you don’t have your RUID card, you can’t print.

The CAC and Douglass Lab computers are to be used to do only language assignments, which might involve making digital recordings and/or using digital A/V materials, foreign language word processing, the Internet and multimedia applications. Computer work for all other disciplines should be done at the general access computing labs:

College Avenue Computing Center - Records Hall
Rutgers Student Center Lab - Lower Level
Satellite Lab behind the Kreeger Learning Center
Alexander Library Undergraduate Computing Lab - Room 156

Cook/Douglass Computing Center - Loree
Cook Campus Center Lab - 2nd Floor
Douglass Campus Center Lab - 3rd Floor
Mabel Smith Douglass Library Lab - Main Floor

Check with the Lab Assistant for the current list of digital course materials available through the computers, which have a desktop icon for a tutorial showing how to access the digital files. There is no need to reserve computers in advance at either the College Avenue or Douglass Lab.

Student use of language lab computers and printers is monitored for compliance with university computing policies (listed at http://oit.rutgers.edu/policies.html)
